About

Elisa Dore is an artist of Puerto Rican descent born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. She was first introduced to printmaking in college and spent most of the 2020 lockdown teaching herself new techniques and refining her practice. She is currently an MFA candidate in printmaking at Georgia State University in Atlanta.

Her work is shaped by her heritage, Puerto Rican and southern American. It references a middle ground, a duality of belonging to two different cultures yet not fully fitting into either one. Along with her ancestry and cultural background, she is inspired by feminine figures, memories, and the natural world.
